Wood has an exciting opportunity for a Communications Manager, Corporate and Transformation to join our team on a permanent basis. You will shape and deliver clear, consistent and engaging communications that help strengthen Wood’s corporate narrative and support the company’s transformation.
As a leader within the Communications function, the role takes ownership for the design, quality and effective delivery of high functioning corporate communications, both internally and externally, setting best practice and supporting excellence across the team. This role is open to hybrid working from our Aberdeen office.
The Role
The role focuses on designing, planning and delivering corporate communications activities, ensuring messages are accurate, aligned and effectively executed across key channels as well as strengthening Wood’s media presence through purposeful, strategic storytelling, meaningful media relations and disciplined media posting. You will work closely with the Communications and Marketing teams, HR, Legal, functional and business leaders, as well as external media, agencies, suppliers and partner organisations.
The role is responsible for creating and delivering communication plans and outputs, shaping messaging, standards and processes, and providing insight and recommendations to communicators and business leaders. You will also identify, escalate and mitigate communication risks and sensitivities, and hold line management responsibility to ensure high‑quality delivery, alignment and ongoing professional development.
