Wood has an exciting opportunity for a Communications Associate to join our team on a permanent basis. You will be an essential support within the communications team, responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination and delivery of internal and external communications activities. This role is open to hybrid working from our Aberdeen office.

The Role

You will help to ensure smooth execution of campaigns, timely delivery of content and consistent brand messaging across key channels. The Communications Associate will contribute to the creation of engaging content, help maintain communication platforms, support events and campaigns and provide day‑to‑day coordination that keeps the function operating efficiently. This is a multi‑faceted role that requires an enthusiastic individual capable of working on projects covering the full communications mix, helping to drive employee engagement, brand awareness and growth across the business.

You will work with internal marketing and communications teams, business stakeholders, and external agencies and suppliers to support the delivery of agreed outputs, taking ownership of selected tasks and contributing to the implementation of global internal and external communication campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and delivery of internal and external communication materials including articles, announcements, social posts, presentations and event content.
  • Assist with maintaining communication channels such as intranet pages, email platforms and databases and social media.
  • Coordinate logistics for communications campaigns ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Help monitor media coverage, social activity and internal feedback, providing summaries and insights.
  • Support the management of digital assets and content libraries to ensure accurate and up‑to‑date materials.
  • Assist in tracking the performance of communications initiatives, helping to compile reports and metrics.
  • Provide general administrative and project support to the wider communications team.

  • University degree or equivalent experience in communications or related field.
  • Knowledge of communication methods and channels including but not limited to management of print, online, apps, email, media, social media, webinars, blogs, events, speaking engagements, etc.
  • Ability to write impeccable content.

  • Develop engaging communications solutions that connect with multicultural audiences across a variety of channels.
