We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our Finance Team, reporting directly to the CFO. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of the business while supporting the global transition to clean energy. The responsibility of the Financial Controller will be to lead the team responsible for accounting support tasks, ensure the firm meets its financial reporting requirements, regulatory reporting, and provide insight on performance to senior management. You will be helping drive financial performance across a range of areas in a number of different countries.

Responsibilities
  • Leading, motivating and developing a small team, responsible for a wide range of tasks.
  • Ownership of the month end processes including all financial ledger postings and balance sheet reconciliation, group consolidation and packs reviews.
  • Production of information for the monthly board meetings including commentary and analysis.
  • Production of monthly management accounts and associated information for other departments.
  • Treasury management, including forecasting cash requirements & foreign currency management.
  • Production of returns to investors and banks.
  • International tax reporting & compliance, across all jurisdictions and all taxes.
  • Oversight and approval of expense claims and reimbursements, ensuring compliance with company policy.
  • Payroll & Pension control as well as associated benefits.
  • Processing supplier payments and handling supplier queries.
  • Assist the group in the preparation of the annual financial statements and annual returns.
  • Lead the external audit programme.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including Private Equity.
  • Financial processes, policies and controls for the Group.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA level) with ideally prior audit experience or practice training.
  • Accounting system knowledge including Xero and ideally CMAP.
  • Multi-Entity / Multi-Currency consolidation and accounting experience.
  • Experience in Engineering or design consultancy sector and long-term contract accounting, but is not a requirement.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements, financial performance, and team development in a fast-growth environment.
