Role Overview
Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring the plating/structural work scope is completed safely and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow the schedule communicated by the supervisor.
- Complete all workscope in accordance with applicable workpack / jobcard instructions, associated procedures and drawings / sketches.
- Provide support to other trades / disciplines where required, or be part of an integrated multi-discipline team.
- Apply for relevant permits to work (PTW) in order to complete workscope in a controlled and safe manner (onshore only).
- Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) to complete workscope in a safe and controlled manner.

This is a hands‑on role suited to highly skilled Mechanical fitters with proven experience in fast‑paced shutdown environments, carrying out high‑quality work on critical plant equipment and systems.
Candidates must be safety‑focused, quality‑driven, and comfortable working in demanding environments, including confined spaces and at height, while delivering work to tight shutdown schedules.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in industrial environments, preferably within the oil, gas, or related sectors.
- Strong background in industrial shutdowns, power generation, energy, petrochemical, or heavy process environments.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced shutdown environment.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Relevant mechanical fitter qualifications/certifications (such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- CCNSG Safety passport.
- Wood mandatory training, induction, risk awareness, etc.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
