Job Description
You will report to the project manager and be responsible for driving and coordinating all project activities across various scopes associated with decommissioning oil and gas facilities onshore and offshore.
This may include projects that assess all aspects of the WBS associated with decommissioning oil and gas infrastructure, including Operator Project Management, Facility Running / Owner Costs, Well Abandonment, Facilities / Pipeline Make-Safe, Topside Preparation, Topside / Substructure Removal, Onshore Recycling, subsea infrastructure, Site Remediation, and Monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering fit-for-purpose decommissioning solutions for construction-led approach in their assigned project(s) through coordinating and delivering the engineering assurance for an assigned project scope(s) to schedule and per applicable procedures, specifications, and standards
  • Experienced in applying the OEUK decom WBS for onshore/offshore installations and able to provide technical assessment and analysis to develop decom reports & liability estimates
  • Coordinates a series of activities performed by engineers and designers from one or more engineering disciplines or specialist vendors to support the timely issuing of engineering deliverables to meet project specifications
  • Has an understanding of relevant engineering and HSE procedures and standards associated with the decommissioning and removal of oil and gas infrastructure
  • Able to structure and facilitate workshops for the development of decom studies, including optioneering across a range of technical, cost, social, environmental and safety criteria
  • Monitors and supports compliance with quality, HSE and assurance standards
  • Undertakes basic schedule preparation, planning and resource forecasting for engineering activities relating to the project
  • Ensures accurate and timely delivery of work, to the satisfaction of both internal and external customers
  • Alerts Project Manager in the event of potential delays or change; supports implementation of approved changes

Expected:

  • Bachelor\’s degree or Master\’s in an engineering discipline
  • Extensive experience gained as a discipline engineer in a project environment
  • Good understanding of technical work scope, key dates and milestones
  • Completely familiar with project contractual and commercial requirements
  • Fully conversant with project scopes and work carried out by all engineering disciplines and various interface and inter-discipline coordination requirements among the various disciplines including procurement and construction
  • Understands the concept of customer satisfaction and can deliver to internal customers, including other Engineering disciplines
  • Understands and knows how to apply the procedures and work practices which define and govern Engineering Management and Project Engineering deliverables
