Wood is recruiting a Senior Drilling Supervisor with Completion and Work Over experience to support our Operations and Maintenance team on a contract basis. Offshore working on rotation, based from the Northop office as required. The role involves providing engineering support for the planning, preparation and review of drilling, completion and abandonment operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise offshore operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with company standards.
  • Ensure all well operations are safely executed in line with approved programs, budgets, and company objectives.
  • Manage rig activities, offshore personnel, materials, and logistics to prevent operational delays.
  • Provide engineering support for planning, preparation, and review of drilling, completion, and abandonment operations.
  • Act as the key interface between offshore operations and onshore teams to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Ensure contractor and service company performance meets contractual and operational expectations.
  • Maintain compliance with the Company Safety Management System and HSEQ standards.
  • Ensure timely availability of personnel, equipment, and materials offshore.
  • Support internal and corporate audits where required.
  • Identify and implement operational improvement opportunities in coordination with relevant teams.
  • Track daily operational costs and maintain cost awareness.
  • Monitor material usage and stock levels, ensuring timely requisition to avoid downtime.
  • Participate in risk assessments (HAZOP/HAZID) and ensure all actions are closed prior to execution.
  • Represent the company at the rig site for all operational and technical matters.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture offshore.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Well Control certificate.
  • Valid Survival course (OPITO) & BOSIET.
  • Engineering or Science Degree or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Oil Industry and Upstream Activities.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Good understanding of operations and process facilities.
