Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal/Senior Mechanical Package Engineer with significant experience in the Oil, Gas and/or Petrochemical industries in both operating site support and EPC roles. Candidates shall have experience of working closely with clients and vendors. The role is to work directly with our client and take the lead on assessing static equipment and piping to improve plant efficiency and reliability. In addition, as required, day-to-day support to the operational asset and general mechanical engineering support and expertise will be provided while ensuring all activities are carried out in a safe manner to legislative and client standards.

Contributing to the delivery of Engineering and Operational excellence through:

  • Executing assigned scopes of work.
  • Supporting and supervising task delegation to the team.
  • Providing discipline expertise to the business.

Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development. Provide discipline support to the business. Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports. Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution. Relevant experience in operational and maintenance engineering is preferred. Ability to work on own initiative and highlight areas of production risk due to equipment vulnerability. Supporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports. Executing assigned personal objectives. Self-motivated and pro-active with good written and verbal communication skills to be able to pass on information.

Qualifications: Candidate shall be degree qualified and Chartered Engineer status is preferred.
