Wood is currently recruiting for an Onshore Construction Lead (contract). The role will be working at the Redcar site office on an energy transition project as part of an IPMT team.
The Role
As an Onshore Construction Lead you will be responsible for the planning and execution of the onshore scopes (landfall, outlet facility and onshore pipeline) within the offshore project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Member of the Offshore Construction Team, reporting to the Offshore Construction Manager.
- Support the Offshore Construction Manager in the delivery of an integrated construction plan and execution through to MC, as per the Subsea Construction Execution Plan.
- SPA for the performance management of EPCI 1 delivery of onshore construction / installation engineering and execution activities - providing the EPCI 1 CAM with day-to-day support on construction related matters.
- Accountable for delivery of EPCI 1 onshore construction scopes in accordance with Client / industry codes and standards as well as the project contracts and specs.
- Provide execution input into the engineering discipline lead development of the contractors' design including participation in design reviews.
- Oversight of construction deliverables and installation engineering and liaise with the contractors' execution team and be responsible for the coordination of all Client comments to contractors' execution documentation.
- Ensure mutual input from & alignment with other project disciplines, including HSE, quality, project management, engineering (full-chain), commissioning (full-chain), regulatory compliance.
- Responsible for implementation of Client & contractor readiness processes and / or work package planning for EPCI 1 onshore construction activities.
- Oversight of EPCI 1 onshore system constructability, including review and approval of deliverables, ensuring validity of the contractors' proposed tools to execute the works, incorporating relevant lessons learned from previous industry wide experience.
- Provide EPCI 1 onshore relevant input into management of construction interface and SIMOPS management, including coordination of site activities with PCC.
- Provide input into the project's construction risks, including ownership / progression of actions.
- Assist with competency assessments of Onshore Site resources.
- Implement safety, quality, sustainability and collaboration charters.
- Support Client Self Verification - Functional Reviews, EPMR's and PHSSERs.
