Wood is currently looking for an Engineering Manager to join one of our key service lines within our Operations Business Stream – Upstream. You will contribute to and maintain the delivery of Engineering excellence through:

Driving technical assurance

Managing and supporting Contract / Project Engineering Managers

Executing assigned business objectives

Actively leads in Competency and Training

Management of key stakeholders in the execution and delivery of contracted activities

Developing and retaining motivated and competent people

Undertake the role of process owner

Performance reporting to senior management, People:

Manage performance of direct reports

Ensures compliance and adherence of competence procedures of Engineering team

Manages succession planning and delivery on behalf of the company and support the contracts

Setting and improving standards for the development and retention of motivated and competent people

Manage recruitment, selection, transfers, and promotion of resources to meet Engineering team requirements
Process Ownership:

Continuous promotion of corporate / client specific procedures

Development and delivery of the technical safety standard expectations and technical assurance

Drive compliance and adherence of competence procedures of Engineering Team

Monitor compliance with competence standards

Manage incident investigations as required

Represent Operations EMEA engineering function

Set performance expectations for direct reports
Subject Matter Expertise:

Assist in providing functional support to projects / contracts as required

Roll out and implementation of learning opportunities from across the business

Deputising for Operations EMEA Engineering Manager Focal Point/Head of Engineering

Degree qualification in engineering subject
or

HNC or equivalent with extensive engineering experience

Chartered Engineer or equivalent with recognised professional body
