Wood is currently recruiting for a Construction Engineer - Rotating Mechanical (contract). The role will be working at the Redcar site office on an energy transition project.

As a Construction Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and pre-commissioning of all rotating equipment. Physical installation work will be executed by the PCC Main Contractor and their supply chain. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the delivery of large Industrial Projects. The role will include interface management during design, constructability reviews and interfacing with other Client discipline leads to ensure that all Project milestones are achieved.

The role will initially be based on Teesside on a flexible working basis but will involve occasional travel to contractor’s design offices in Paris and FAT sites. At the appropriate time (estimated Q2 2026) the role will transition to be a full-time site based role in Teesside with Mon-Fri site working pattern.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the oversight of the installation of all Rotating Equipment (by Contractor and their supply chain) on the Project through to Completion.
