  • Role Purpose

The Talent Development Lead enables colleagues to build the capabilities required to deliver sustainable business performance.

Acting as the primary talent development partner for an assigned function or segment, the role works closely with Strategic HR Business Partners and business leaders to identify capability priorities, shape development solutions and drive measurable organisational outcomes.

Using talent insights, learning needs analysis, succession planning data and engagement feedback, the role determines priority capability gaps and designs, sources and delivers solutions that support business objectives.

The role collaborates with subject matter experts, the wider Talent Development team and external partners to deliver impactful learning experiences and development programmes.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Talent Development
  • Serve as the primary talent development partner for assigned business areas.
  • Align development priorities with business strategy and workforce needs.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis and use talent insights to inform interventions.
  • Support succession planning, career mobility and talent movement activities.
  • Learning & Capability Building
  • Design, source and implement learning solutions that address capability requirements.
  • Deliver and facilitate learning interventions that support business performance.
  • Lead implementation of Manager Fundamentals and other manager development initiatives.
  • Promote AI capability building and support adoption of AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Stakeholder & Programme Management
  • Build trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders.
  • Drive accountability for agreed development actions and commitments.
  • Manage external suppliers and subject matter experts where required.
  • Ensure learning resources and learning management system content remain relevant, accessible and current.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor programme effectiveness and business impact.
  • Use evidence and data to evaluate outcomes and inform decisions.
  • Report progress and results using measurable performance indicators rather than activity metrics alone.

  • We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment, but this may be subject to change in the future.
