Role Purpose
The Principal Consultant will help grow the Power and Renewables Consulting practice within the EMEA region, focusing on project execution and managing relationships with key clients. The role requires solid knowledge of power and renewables market dynamics across EMEA and strong project management capabilities.
Main Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Effective project planning and stakeholder alignment
- Secure and utilise resources effectively
- Track progress against project plans
- Keep clients updated on progress
- Oversee contributions of others to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Review and close off projects internally
- Identify follow-up and re-sale opportunities
- Business Development
- Support business development activities across EMEA
- Develop and manage client relationships
- Work with global sector teams to develop offerings
- Attend conferences and contribute to thought leadership
- Analysis
- Support and coach project team members
- Contribute to consulting presentations and reports
- Extract and analyse data from various sources
- Ensure high standards of professionalism in analysis
- Communication
- Maintain effective communication with clients
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills

About You
The Principal Consultant role is highly commercial, combining analytical rigor with skilled execution of deliverables. Candidates should have:
- Direct experience within the power & renewables industry or related consulting environment
- 5-8 years of working experience in a relevant role
- A strong understanding of power industry dynamics and EMEA power markets
- Analytical skills including financial modelling
- Experience working in a team environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong writing and presentation skills
