Role Overview
A Lead Salesforce Administrator is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the Salesforce platform to support business processes. They act as the bridge between business users and the Salesforce system, ensuring data quality, security, and usability.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Management
- Configure Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and validation rules
- Manage user accounts, profiles, roles, permission sets, and access controls
- Maintain system security and data integrity
- Automation & Configuration
- Build and manage automation using Flows, Approval Processes, Apex, Validation Rules, APIs, Dynamic Forms etc
- Create reports and dashboards for business insights
- Customize Salesforce using declarative tools (no/low code)
- Data Management
- Import, export, and clean data using tools like Data Loader
- Perform regular data audits and deduplication
- Manage backups and data recovery processes
- Be familiar with OwnBackup Archiving tools
- System Optimization
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into Salesforce solutions
- Monitor platform usage and recommend improvements
- Stay current with Salesforce releases and new features
