Wood Mackenzie has an exciting, newly created role opportunity for a Content & Social Media Channel Specialist to join our fast‑paced, dynamic global Marketing team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about digital marketing, social media, and content management. The role involves driving innovation and maximizing global marketing opportunities by elevating our owned marketing channels and ensuring our content aligns with the brand vision. You will manage social media channels, create and curate content, and support the production of thought‑leadership pieces such as Horizons, The Edge, and Energy Pulse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Channel Strategy & Management (50%) – Help evolve and enhance Wood Mackenzie’s social media presence on platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter). Work with the growth marketing and thought leadership teams to implement best practices. Assist with Oktopost and other social media management tools to support platform governance and optimisation. Partner with the creative team to ensure content reflects the brand voice and follows visual and written guidelines. Develop live‑posting strategies for events and curate event content for broader marketing initiatives. Monitor platform trends and algorithm changes to keep the content strategy relevant and effective.
  • Content Development & Promotion (50%) – Collaborate with the content team to create and distribute thought‑leadership materials, including articles, videos, and graphics. Develop content strategies that showcase Wood Mackenzie’s expertise and leadership in the industry. Track brand mentions and trending topics to identify engagement opportunities or potential risks. Ensure all content aligns with and accurately represents the Wood Mackenzie brand.

Requirements

  • A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Understanding of major social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube) and their best practices.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities, with the capacity to adapt messages for various audiences.
  • Experience collaborating with teams or stakeholders to deliver digital content that supports broader marketing goals.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment and a desire to develop new skills.
  • A creative mindset to bring fresh ideas and unique perspectives to the team.
  • Proficiency with social media tools such as Oktopost, Sprout, Hootsuite, etc.
