Wood is seeking an experienced Shutdown Stores Person to support a planned outage based onsite in Teesside.

This is a hands-on role suited to a highly skilled Stores Person with proven experience working within fast-paced shutdown environments, carrying out high-quality work

Candidates must be safety-focused, quality-driven, and comfortable working in demanding environments, including confined spaces and at height, while delivering work to tight shutdown schedules.

Key Aims and Objectives

  • To ensure rotating equipment materials are set to required specifications on the BOM (Bill of materials).
  • Ensure efficiency of rotating equipment work scopes are not impacted by delays for incorrect materials or offsite delays

Responsibilities

Role / Purpose

  • Management of all rotating equipment spares & materials.
  • Manage and quality check all stores rotating equipment components.
  • Manage all rotating equipment work scopes to be sent offsite.
  • Liaise with external vendors for and coordinate arrangements.
  • Manage all repairable spares for rotating equipment, valves, etc.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for coordination of offsite work scopes including raising PO’s on behalf of site
  • Work closely with Rotating Team Lead/Rotating Engineers & Coordinator to define required work scopes
  • Co-ordinate with offsite vendors to manage and track offsite work scopes – expediting where required.
  • Carry out standard quality checks on spares to ensure all are to correct specification upon delivery.
  • Manage repairable spares with offsite vendors.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates for planned offsite work scopes for Client Rotating Coordinator/Engineers.
  • Compile all relevant documentation (paper and electronic) to create an ‘Execution Dossier’ for work execution including quality approval / sign off.
  • Request provisional quotation costs for materials / subcontracts to add to the work order estimate.
  • Provide relevant information to the procurement team for client requisition and reservation of parts & materials needed for maintenance tasks.
  • Initiate amendment to update the CMMS Bill of Materials (B.O.M) master as required.
  • Create work order standard task lists for repetitive / routine maintenance tasks.
  • Review content of current standard task lists and amend as required.
  • Be SAP user friendly and have strong IT skills.

Qualifications

About You

You are an experienced Stores Person with a strong background in industrial shutdowns, power generation, energy, petrochemical, or heavy process environments. You have proven experience and can consistently produce work to the highest quality standards under demanding outage schedules.
