Overview
As a Senior Site Planner you will design and control project schedules to support robust lifecycle management of our on-site projects. You will lead planning activities, ensure contract-aligned schedules, and mentor the Planning team while coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction functions. The role emphasizes data security, on-site delivery, and contribution to energy-transition projects. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain baselined plans and clear progress reporting, driving predictable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Create, review and report accurate project schedules and plans aligning with contractual requirements and Wood standards
- Support management and development of the Planning team and oversee multiple project scopes as focal point
- Maintain planning control structures aligned with WBS and ensure schedules show critical path and float
- Liaise with engineering, procurement, construction and third parties to monitor activities and manpower impacts
- Provide project plans and progress reports per reporting calendar and requirements
- Update schedules and manpower plans, monitor change impacts and schedule risk analyses
- Mentor Planning personnel and contribute to continuous improvement reviews
- Ensure schedules are baselined and consistently validated against client funding and project milestones
- Attend internal progress and performance meetings and support cost discipline for forecasting budgets
- Support project controls compliance and risk management activities
Key requirements
- Scheduling experience with Primavera P6 and related tools
- Advanced knowledge of Project Execution Procedures for Scheduling
- Understanding of WBS and CBS structures, and project reporting capabilities
- Experience with earned value, cost/schedule variance analyses and what-if scenarios
- Strong principles of project management, cost management, change control, and risk analysis
- Prior senior planning experience and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and spoken communication
