Wood is recruiting for a QA/QC Engineer to join the team focusing on the planning, development and execution of quality programmes in accordance with allocated budgets and in compliance with contract/project execution and quality plan arrangements. This is a site based role based in Wilton.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, development and execution of quality programmes in accordance with allocated budgets and in compliance with contract/project execution and quality plan arrangements
- Take ownership of and complete successfully Quality Development Plans in a timely manner
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of quality plans to meet contractual requirements
- Assist in the maintenance, documentation and deployment of Wood Business Management Systems
- Ensure the effective implementation of the correct Processes and Procedures detailed in contract execution plans and the Business Management System
- Assist with the establishment of assurance schedules and support implementation of internal, external and extrinsic assurance activities
- Be familiar with current Codes and Standards (PED/PSSR, ASME, ASTM, EEMUA, CE/UKCA Marking, ATEX etc)
- Assist in the quality review and approval of product/material requisitions
- Perform project specific quality management and assurance activities as detailed in the Project Quality Plan and Project Inspection and Test Plan
- Review subcontractor and supplier Quality Management Systems, quality plans and ITPs, documentation and records ensuring they meet stated requirements
- Co‑ordinate third party vendor inspection visits; review and distribution of inspection reports
- Assist in the management and analysis of Non Conformances and corrective action data
- Attend Kick‑off meetings and establish how defined quality requirements will be implemented
- Promote the awareness of quality principles through targeted communication, education and training
- Support lessons learned and continuous improvement processes
- Assist implementation of local management reviews and reporting of metrics and KPIs
- Input into Quality Control activity coordination and contract completions process
- Have experience regarding Supply Chain interface, data gathering, investigation and decision making in relation to Code and Standard certification to demonstrate compliance needs
- Effective supply chain quality management is implemented including vendor capability assessments, performance monitoring and failure investigations
- Ensure the development and control of all supply chain documentation, certification and QA/QC activities, including the review and approval process
- Actively be involved with all areas certification to ensure fulfilment regarding minimum certification requirements
Qualifications:
- CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2 certification (essential)
- Background in fabrication, welding and assembly
- Knowledge of NDT processes and acceptance criteria
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 / ASME standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
