Wood is looking for an experienced Principal Operations & Maintenance Engineer with direct experience of managing, coordinating or supporting maintenance delivery for heavy assets, particularly in an upstream, midstream or downstream oil & gas context. This is a staff role based in Aberdeen and hybrid working with the expectation of working 3 days from our Aberdeen office.

The Role

You will be responsible for coordinating a global delivery team across the Operations & Consulting Business Units within Wood.

Our Clients and Projects

Optimised Energy provides operational maintenance advisory and asset management support to Wood's customers across the operations lifecycle. This consists of:

  • Embedding skilled advisors within client organisations
  • Co-ordinating strategic work
  • Analysing and improving asset performance
  • Providing artificial intelligence-accelerated services such as maintAI, Performance Optics & safetyAI

Qualifications

  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Scientific Discipline, or related technical field with significant experience in an asset operations environment
  • Direct experience of managing, coordinating or supporting maintenance delivery of assets
  • Understanding of analytical techniques applied to maintenance and reliability systems
  • An interest in Digitalization and application of automation and AI techniques
  • Broad understanding of the Energy industry in region and strong networking and relationship building capability
  • Proven experience of customer facing communication
  • Knowledge of current HSSEA, regulatory and other legislation as applicable in the industry
  • Team building skills – motivating people, proactively enabling cross functional best practice
  • The ability to influence and challenge others
