Wood is looking for an experienced Principal Operations & Maintenance Engineer with direct experience of managing, coordinating or supporting maintenance delivery for heavy assets, particularly in an upstream, midstream or downstream oil & gas context. This is a staff role based in Aberdeen and hybrid working with the expectation of working 3 days from our Aberdeen office.
The Role
You will be responsible for coordinating a global delivery team across the Operations & Consulting Business Units within Wood.
Our Clients and Projects
Optimised Energy provides operational maintenance advisory and asset management support to Wood's customers across the operations lifecycle. This consists of:
- Embedding skilled advisors within client organisations
- Co-ordinating strategic work
- Analysing and improving asset performance
- Providing artificial intelligence-accelerated services such as maintAI, Performance Optics & safetyAI

Qualifications

- Degree qualification in Engineering, Scientific Discipline, or related technical field with significant experience in an asset operations environment
- Direct experience of managing, coordinating or supporting maintenance delivery of assets

- An interest in Digitalization and application of automation and AI techniques
- Broad understanding of the Energy industry in region and strong networking and relationship building capability
- Proven experience of customer facing communication
- Knowledge of current HSSEA, regulatory and other legislation as applicable in the industry
- Team building skills – motivating people, proactively enabling cross functional best practice
- The ability to influence and challenge others
