We are searching for a skilled and experienced Pipefitter to join our team for an upcoming onshore project in Teesside. Our company specializes in providing maintenance and shutdown services to the oil, gas, and industrial sectors, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. As a Pipefitter, you will play a crucial role in our onshore team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems and associated equipment. Your primary objective will be to ensure the efficient functioning of piping networks.
Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems, including but not limited to valves, fittings, and related equipment.
- Interpret and work from isometric drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan and execute pipefitting tasks accurately.
- Cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes using various tools and techniques while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct inspections and tests on piping systems to identify and resolve issues such as leaks, blockages, or faulty components.
- Collaborate closely with other team members, including supervisors, engineers, and other tradespeople, to ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental protocols, promoting a culture of safety compliance within the team.
- Document all pipefitting activities, including work performed, materials used, and any pertinent information.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter in industrial environments, preferably within the oil, gas, or related sectors.
- Relevant pipefitting qualifications/certifications (such as NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) in pipefitting, plumbing, or a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shutdown environment.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Valid certifications/licenses required by UK regulations for onshore shutdown projects.
