Wood is recruiting for a Site Manager to join our Asset Management and Operational Services (AMOS) team within our renewables consulting business to support projects UK-wide.
The Site Manager will be responsible for the safe and effective management of multiple operational sites across the UK, supporting the delivery of renewable energy projects, e.g. wind farms, solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) in line with client, contractual and safety requirements.
Wood’s Asset Management and Operational Services (AMOS) group consists of multi-disciplined service lines that provide project management and technical consultancy services and solutions to renewable energy clients which includes developers, owners and operators for projects worldwide. Our teams consist of Analysis which provides wind measurement and accredited analysis services for power performance testing, bankable energy yield assessments, and Engineering and Operations teams that provide asset management services including meteorological mast and wind lidar for pre and post construction onshore and offshore wind energy projects. With a dynamic and experienced group of project managers, engineers, scientists and technical consultants, we can support our clients' goals throughout the entire project life cycle.

Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of site activities across multiple operational renewable energy project sites
- Travel throughout the UK to perform monthly site inspections and reporting
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements
- Coordinate site personnel, contractors and suppliers
- Plan and oversee site works to meet programme, scope and quality requirements
- Review and implement risk assessment and method statements (RAMS)
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Maintain site records, reports and documentation
- Support Emergency Response Plan (ERP) exercises, audits, inspections and incident investigations
- Perform wind turbine end of warranty (EoW) walkdown inspections
- Support operational control, monitoring, and fault escalation
- Drive continuous improvement in safety and operational performance at sites under management to maximize client value
Qualifications

- Expected:
- Experience working in a site‑based role within renewables, construction, utilities, infrastructure or a related sector in an asset management service capacity
- Demonstrable understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements in an operational environment
- Experience coordinating site activities, teams and/or subcontractors
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Experience reviewing and producing RAMS
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across geographically dispersed sites
- Willingness to travel to sites across the UK
- Full UK driving licence
- Desirable:
- Experience within the renewable energy sector, particularly onshore wind and BESS
- Authorised Engineer/Technician certification
- Site management or supervision qualifications (e.g. SMSTS / SSSTS)
- GWO Basic Safety Training
- Formal H&S qualification (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent)
- Client‑facing experience
