Overview
In this offshore Safety Coach role, you drive safety performance across active work fronts on the ENI contract. You will be a visible safety presence on deck, coaching crews to reinforce safe behaviours and support risk assessments. You collaborate with construction teams to promote a proactive safety culture aligned with standards, delivering focused safety reviews and timely issue resolution. This role offers hands-on impact in a high‑risk environment with a clear focus on incident prevention and workforce engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support risk assessments and hazard identification
- Conduct on‑deck safety observations and provide constructive feedback
- Lead task-specific safety reviews and hazard analyses
- Coach and influence diverse crews to reinforce safe working practices
- Support supervisors in maintaining safe systems of work and platform procedures
- Act as a key safety contact, escalate issues, and drive timely resolutions
- Promote a culture of safety ownership and open communication
- Ensure activities comply with offshore legislation and client HSE requirements
- Contribute to incident prevention through proactive intervention and hazard spotting
Key requirements
- Offshore experience, ideally on platforms, jack‑ups, or marine construction assets
- Strong understanding of offshore safety standards, hazard controls, and operational risks
- Excellent communication and coaching skills with ability to influence diverse teams
- Experience in risk assessments, hazard analysis, and task planning
- High attention to detail with proactive safety oversight
- Hands‑on coaching style in fast‑paced, high‑risk environments
- Relevant offshore certifications (BOSIET/FOET, GWO, or equivalent)
