We’re inviting experienced Tankage Supervisors to register their interest for upcoming large-scale tankage and heavy-industry projects across the UK. If you have a strong background leading tank construction teams, ensuring quality and safety, and delivering work to specification, we’d like to hear from you.

Role Overview:

  • Supervision of tank erection and welding teams — coordinating daily activities, ensuring work is completed safely and to standard
  • Technical oversight — reviewing drawings, weld maps, and specifications to guide the team
  • Quality assurance — monitoring fit-up, weld quality, tolerances, and compliance with project requirements
  • Safety leadership — enforcing site rules, conducting toolbox talks, and maintaining safe working practices
  • Progress reporting — liaising with site management, tracking progress, and resolving issues
  • Team coordination — working closely with platers, welders, riggers, and crane crews

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in tankage, heavy-industry, or large-scale steel construction
  • Proven experience supervising multi-disciplinary tank construction teams
  • Excellent understanding of alignment, tolerances, welding standards, and structural assembly
  • Confident communicator with strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Safety-focused approach with the ability to manage high-risk activities

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Fabrication/Steel Erection
  • Valid CCNSG or equivalent safety passport
  • Supervisory or leadership certification (e.g., SSSTS/SMSTS) preferred
  • Additional working-at-height, confined-space, or rigging qualifications beneficial
