Wood Process & Energy is looking to recruit an experienced Construction Manager to support a major EPCm Framework contract for a key client based in Ayrshire, Southwest Scotland. This role is supporting a significant portfolio of capital projects within a highly regulated manufacturing environment and, as such, demonstrable experience delivering construction projects within GMP-regulated facilities is essential.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have successfully managed construction activities in Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, Batch Chemical, or similar manufacturing industries, where maintaining operational continuity, quality compliance, and safety standards is critical. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary construction teams and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget, while working within live production environments. Experience of managing construction activities that interface with manufacturing operations, validation requirements, and GMP compliance processes will be highly valued.

Essential Experience:
- Proven Construction Management experience within Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, Batch Chemical, or other regulated industrial environments.
- Strong and demonstrable knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements and experience delivering projects within GMP-controlled facilities.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary construction teams and contractors within operational manufacturing sites.
- Demonstrable experience of constructability reviews, construction planning, commissioning, and project handover.
- Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong effective delegation skills.
- Experience of people management in a construction context.
- Exposure and familiar with working within a technical environment.
- CDM duty holder responsibilities, managing SSOW and setting to work processes.
- Experience with BS 5975-1:2024 Part 1 & Part 2 Code of Practice for Temporary Works.
