Wood is recruiting a Senior Maintenance Engineer to support our operations & maintenance team based at client’s site at Aberdeen on a permanent staff basis.
The Role
You will deliver specialist maintenance management and reliability engineering services to support the Client’s offshore oil and gas installations. The scope includes SAP maintenance system support, maintenance methods development, and reliability engineering to improve asset performance, ensure compliance, and optimize life cycle costs.
Responsibilities
- Review and develop maintenance methods, procedures, and task lists
- Ensure maintenance routines are risk-based, effective, and aligned with OEM/industry standards
- Optimize planned maintenance frequencies and scopes to balance reliability and cost
- Support maintenance strategy reviews, including RCM and FMECA studies
- Provide assurance that maintenance documentation meets regulatory and Client requirements
- Review updates to Performance Standards and determine required changes to SAP master data
- Review and approve SAP Master Data Change Requests
- Implement effective maintenance program master data in the company CMMS
- Conduct equipment criticality assessments and critical spares analysis per company standards
- Review and update Bills of Material (BoM)
- Support obsolescence reviews and recommend mitigation actions
- Generate forward-looking PM demand and workload forecasts to support business planning, resource allocation, and maintenance execution capacity assessments
