Wood has an exciting opportunity for a Brand & Creative Advisor to join us on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality creative campaigns, content and brand communications that bring the Wood brand to life across internal and external channels. As part of a small, collaborative team, you'll work across a wide range of projects, taking ideas from brief through to delivery and helping colleagues across the business create engaging communications through strong design. This is a varied, hands-on role with the opportunity to make a visible impact on a global brand. This role is based in our Aberdeen office where hybrid working is available.
The Role
In this role, you'll work closely with teams across the business to transform ideas into engaging creative content and campaigns that support business priorities, strengthen our brand and connect with key audiences. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality creative solutions across a variety of channels, ensuring a consistent and distinctive brand experience at every touchpoint. As part of our centralised Brand, Creative & Digital team, you'll provide expert guidance on brand standards and creative best practice. You'll have the opportunity to influence how our brand is represented globally, leading the creative execution of assigned projects and championing brand consistency. Working closely with internal teams and external creative partners, you'll help ensure every piece of content reflects the quality, professionalism and ambition of the Wood brand.

Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of brand and creative projects.
- Deliver high-quality graphic design and visual communication assets that support brand, marketing and communication objectives across a variety of channels through campaigns, social media, presentations, internal communications, events and exhibitions.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Marketing and Communications to ensure creative outputs align with brand standards.
- Write and refine creative copy, headlines and messaging that complement visual designs and clearly communicate campaign objectives and concepts.
- Manage assigned projects and priorities effectively, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform creative approaches.
- Maintain and support brand identity, systems and toolkits.
- Support the application of Wood's brand identity across creative outputs and communications.
- Support the ongoing development and maintenance of brand assets, templates and toolkits to ensure relevance, usability and consistency.
- Contribute to the upkeep and continuous improvement of our brand hub as a trusted source of brand guidance and resources.
- Recommend opportunities to improve creative processes, templates and user adoption across the organisation.
- Provide advice and guidance on the correct use of brand assets and templates where required.
- Support brand governance and adoption.
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on the appropriate use of brand assets, templates and visual identity elements.
- Help maintain high standards of quality, accessibility and consistency across all creative outputs.
- Support governance processes by identifying and escalating instances of brand non-compliance where appropriate, escalating high risk issues if necessary.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of brand and governance resources.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and deliver effective creative solutions.
- Collaborate with external creative suppliers and production partners, ensuring outputs align with Wood's brand standards.
- Share knowledge and best practice to help improve brand understanding and adoption across the organisation.
Qualifications
Expected: Degree qualified (or equivalent) in brand design, visual communication, graphic design or related discipline. Experience in graphic design, ideally within an inhouse creative environment. Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and execution across digital and print. Advanced creative and design capability, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud. Ability to craft compelling headlines, campaign messaging, and supporting content that enhances design effectiveness. Experience applying brand guidelines and visual identity systems across digital and print. Good understanding of brand governance principles and the role of consistency in building brand value. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Word. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide practical brand and creative guidance. Well organised with the ability to manage multiple projects, maintain quality standards and meet deadlines.
Desirable: Video production and editing experience.

Willingness to broaden expertise across different creative disciplines and support across our multidisciplinary team.
