We're looking for a Warehouse & Distribution Operative to play a vital role in supporting our retail operation.

From collecting donations and delivering stock to maintaining our warehouse and supporting shop teams, you'll help to ensure that our charity shops have the right stock in the right place at the right time.

In this role you will support the movement, storage and distribution of donated goods, new stock and retail supplies across our network of charity shops.

Based initially at our warehouse in Godmanchester and then from Autumn 2026 at our new warehouse in Huntingdon, you'll travel across our retail estate helping to maximise income by ensuring stock is efficiently distributed.

This is a varied and active role that combines driving, warehouse operations, customer interaction and logistics coordination. You will;

  • support new shop openings while acting as a positive ambassador for the charity.
  • support the allocation and distribution of stock to charity shops.
  • maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
  • assist with stock management and rotation activities.
  • dispose of unsellable or damaged stock appropriately.
  • work closely with Shop Managers to ensure stock is distributed effectively.
  • promote Retail Gift Aid opportunities and support fundraising initiatives.
  • ensure company vehicles are maintained and operated safely.
  • follow all health and safety procedures within the warehouse and on the road.
  • ensure the security of vehicles, stock and warehouse facilities.

You'll be a reliable and motivated individual who enjoys physical work, has excellent customer service skills and can work independently while remaining a strong team player.

  • Bringing;
  • Experience in stock control, warehousing or distribution environments.
  • A full, clean UK driving licence.
  • Experience driving vans in a commercial or distribution setting.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • A positive, flexible and can-do attitude.

You will join a supportive team who are crucial to enabling our retail operation to generate vital income.

This is a full-time permanent position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday- Friday with occasional weekend shifts.

The starting salary for this position is £26,227.50 - £27,227 per annum depending on experience.

  • This is complemented by;
  • 36 days annual leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays) rising by 1 day each year to a maximum of 40 days after five years

Due to the nature of this role there will be an element of manual handling and physical activity involved.

You may also be required to work alone from time to time.
