About the role
Do you have an eye for valuable pre‑loved items and a passion for online selling? Do you want to help turn donated goods into vital funds that support pets and their people? We are looking for a motivated and commercially aware E‑Commerce Assistant to support our growing online retail operation on a part‑time basis. Working 22.5 hours a week, this is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in eBay, Depop, or online marketplaces who enjoys customer service, identifying trends, and working in a fast‑paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Working alongside our E‑Commerce Manager, help to identify donated items suitable for online sale.
- Create engaging listings whilst ensuring that customers receive an excellent online shopping experience.
- Maximise income through online sales by researching products, photographing items, managing listings, and dispatching sold goods efficiently.
Qualifications
- Experience selling products on eBay or other online platforms.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office and online systems.
- Experience pricing pre‑loved or second‑hand goods.
- A proactive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in charity retail is desirable although not essential.
Employment Details
This is a permanent, part-time position working 22.5 hours a week on a two‑week rota basis; Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday (week 1) and Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (week 2). The salary for this position is £15,736.50 per annum (equivalent to £13.45 per hour).
This competitive salary is complemented by:
- Pro rata equivalent of 36 days annual leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays) rising by 1 day each year to a maximum of 40 days pro rata after five years.
- Up to 8% employer pension contributions.
