Are you a campaigner who wants to make a real difference for companion animals? This is an exciting time to join Woodgreen as we develop our evidence-based campaigns function. We’re looking for a Campaigns Officer to play a key role in shaping and delivering Woodgreen’s campaign and advocacy work; someone who will support the development, delivery and evaluation of regional and national campaigns aimed at improving companion animal welfare.

Motivated by evidence, collaboration and a shared commitment to making life better for pets and the people who care for them, our successful applicant will work closely with the Senior Campaigns & Policy Lead and the rest of the policy and impact team to help translate Woodgreen’s evidence, experience and values into compelling campaigns. They will be pivotal to influencing public opinion, stakeholders, and decision-makers to drive systemic change and achieve positive outcomes for pets and their people.

If you have:

  • Significant experience working in a campaigns or advocacy role, with experience in animal welfare, social policy or a related sector an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging campaign materials for diverse audiences.
  • A detailed understanding of the UK campaigning landscape, with the ability to identify opportunities and anticipate challenges.
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive flexible approach, with the confidence to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
  • A passion for companion animal welfare and empathy for the challenges faced by pet owners.
