The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 ÂŁ per hour.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will serve food sourced from Apetito, which provides a healthy, nutritious diet that is vital to ensuring our residents’ wellbeing and helping them enjoy daily meals. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards in the kitchen and during the food preparation process. You should be reliable, considerate, and caring in your approach.

About You

  • Previous experience working in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of working in a busy kitchen environment.
  • A committed and organized approach.
  • A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible to work shifts.

Other Duties

  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home and participate in appropriate training, encouraging and supporting staff in their development and training.
  • Ensure employees fully understand their safeguarding responsibilities, develop the skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults in need of care and support, and recognize adults’ choice and control.
  • Adhere to safeguarding and whistle-blowing policies at all times.
  • Provide evidence of any untaken training.
  • Comply with fire procedures and health-and-safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
  • Complete all training as determined by the home.
