As a Senior Care Assistant, you will care for residents, providing personal care activities such as washing, hygiene, dressing and assistance with meals. You will perform medication rounds, lead shifts, and support the wider team. We are part of the Wood Care Group, a family‑run business that values its employees. This role is 22 hours per week on a basis hourly rate.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care to residents, including washing, hygiene, dressing and meals.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate medication records.
- Lead and manage the shift, ensuring continuity of care.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to service improvement.
- Maintain professional development, undertake training and support staff development.
- Safeguard residents, following safeguarding and whistle‑blowing procedures.
- Comply with fire procedures, health and safety legislation and maintain a safe environment.
- Complete all training and keep evidence of any untaken training.
Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3 in Health & Social Care or a care certificate (training provided).
- Previous experience working in a care home environment (desirable).
- Experience in leading a team.
- Committed, organised and reliable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
