As a Kitchen Assistant, you will serve food sourced from Apetito, which provides a healthy, nutritious diet vital to ensuring our residents’ wellbeing and helping them enjoy daily meals. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards in the kitchen and during the food preparation process. You should be reliable, considerate, and caring in your approach.

About You:

  • Experience of working in a busy kitchen environment.

Other Duties:

  • To attend staff meetings.
  • Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home and participate in appropriate training.
  • Encourage and support staff in their development and training.
  • Ensure understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and develop skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults who need care and support.
  • Ensure that adults are safeguarded in a way that recognises their choice and control.
  • Adhere to safeguarding and whistleblowing policies at all times.
  • Provide evidence of any untaken training.
  • Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
  • Complete all training as determined by the home.
