We are recruiting a full supernumerary Nursing Care Manager to lead clinical standards across the home. You will provide strong clinical leadership, oversight of care planning and medication governance, and support the team to deliver safe, person-centred care.
Essential Requirements
- RGN or RMN with a valid NMC PIN
- Previous management experience within a residential/nursing home setting
- Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills
- Willing to take part in the management on-call rota (if required)
Key Duties
- Lead on clinical quality, compliance and best practice across the home
- Oversee nursing assessments and ensure nursing care plans are robust, person-centred and regularly reviewed
- Monitor clinical risks (e.g., falls, pressure areas, nutrition) and ensure appropriate actions/escalations
- Maintain medication safety: medication audits and end-of-month medication checks
- Support staff through supervisions, observations, competency checks and training compliance
- Liaise with families and external professionals (GP, pharmacy, community teams)
- Ensure safeguarding, MCA and whistleblowing procedures are followed
