As the Deputy Nursing Manager, you are part of the management team alongside the Home Manager & the Deputy Manager. Here at Wood Care Group, we have the Nursing Deputy Manager who provides support to the nursing team and the management team. The role comprises mainly of providing care with assigned supernumerary time to complete management tasks.
Day to Day responsibilities:
- Residents Care Plans
- Managing the nurses
- Medication rounds and associated documentation in line with NMC guidelines and Company policy.
- Assess all aspects of resident's care needs and provide health supervision and direct nursing care when required.
- Report any ill health amongst residents and make GP / professional visit requests where necessary.
- Ensure that Resident's Care Plans are correct and updated in conjunction with residents, relatives and other health care professionals and in accordance with NMC guidelines & Company policy.
- Carry out regular checks on residents and complete associated paperwork.
- Reporting to the Home Manager where required.
- Understand and ensure the implementation of Company policies.
- Promote safe working practices within the Care Centre and accurate in detail documentation.
