Overview
As a Senior Care Assistant, care for residents like family, addressing their physical, psychological and social needs.
Assist with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and meals.
Lead the shift and participate in the medication round.
We welcome applications from candidates with or without prior senior experience, provided they have a passion for care and a valid qualification.
Training is provided.

About You

- Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or a care certificate. These are desirable, not essential since training is provided.
- Previous experience in a care home environment is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of leading a team.
- A committed and organised approach.
- A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible to work shifts.

Responsibilities and Other Duties
- Attend Staff Meetings.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs of the home and participate in appropriate training; encourage and support staff in their development and training.
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are understood and followed to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect; safeguard adults in a way that recognises their choice and control.
Adhere to safeguarding and whistleblowing policies at all times.
- Provide evidence of any training not undertaken.
- Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation; work in a safe environment.
- Complete all training as determined by the home.
