As a Senior Care Assistant, we ask you to care for our residents like they are your own family, caring for their physical, psychological and social needs. Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals. You would also be responsible for the medication round, as well as leading the shift.
We would love to hear from you if you have previously worked as a Senior Care Assistant, Care Giver, Homecare Worker or Community Support Worker. We provide full training and welcome applications from candidates who do not have previous senior experience but have a passion for care with a valid qualification.
About You
- Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or a care certificate. Training will be provided.
- Previous experience working in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of leading a team.
- A committed and organised approach.
- A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible to work shifts.

Other Duties
- Attend Staff Meetings.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home and participate in appropriate training.
- Encourage and support staff in their development and training.
- Ensure full understanding of safeguarding responsibilities, develop skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect, and ensure safeguarding and whistle-blowing policies are adhered to at all times.
- Provide evidence of any untaken training.
- Comply with fire procedures, health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
- Complete all training as determined by the home.
