As a Care Assistant, we ask for you to care for our residents like they are your own family, caring for their physical, psychological and social needs. Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals.
We would love to hear from you if you have previously worked as a Care Assistant, Care Giver, Homecare Worker or Community Support Worker, as we provide full training. We also welcome applications from candidates who do not have previous experience but have a passion for care. This position is working night shifts 8.00pm - 8.00am and is 2 shifts per week.
About You
- Level 2 in Health & Social Care, or care certificate (desirable but not essential).
- Previous experience working in a Care Home environment (desirable but not essential).
- Experience of leading a team.
- A committed and organised approach.
- A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible to work shifts.

Other Duties
- Attend staff meetings.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home and participate in appropriate training.
- Encourage and support staff in their development and training.
- Ensure understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and develop skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults who need care and support.
- Ensure that adults are safeguarded in a way that recognises their choice and control.
- Adhere to safeguarding and whistle blowing policies at all times.
- Provide evidence of any untaken training.
- Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
- Complete all training as determined by the home.
