The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will care for our residents like they are your own family, addressing their physical, psychological, and social needs. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and helping with meals. You will also be responsible for the medication round and leading the shift.

We welcome applications from candidates who have previously worked as a Senior Care Assistant, Care Giver, Homecare Worker, or Community Support Worker. We provide full training and also welcome candidates without previous senior experience but with a passion for care and a valid qualification.

About You

  • Level 3 in Health & Social Care or care certificate (desirable but not essential as all training is provided).
  • Previous experience working in a Care Home environment (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • A committed and organised approach.
  • A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexible to work shifts.

Other Duties

  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home.
  • Participate in appropriate training and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
  • Ensure understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and develop skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults who need care and support.
  • Ensure that adults are safeguarded in a way that recognises their choice and control.
  • Adhere to safeguarding and whistle-blowing policies at all times.
  • Provide evidence of any undertaken training.
  • Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
  • Complete all training as determined by the home.
