As a Care Assistant, you will care for our residents like they are your own family, addressing their physical, psychological, and social needs. This includes assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and helping with meals.
We welcome applications from candidates who have previously worked as a Care Assistant, Care Giver, Homecare Worker, or Community Support Worker. We also encourage applications from those without previous experience but who have a passion for care. We are a family-run business, part of the Wood Care Group, and our employees are important to us.
About You:
- Kind and caring individuals who want to make a difference in people’s lives.
- Level 2 in Health & Social Care or care certificate is desirable but not essential as all training is provided.
- Previous experience in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of leading a team.
- A committed and organised approach.
- A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible to work shifts.

Other Duties:
- Attend staff meetings.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home.
- Participate in appropriate training and encourage and support staff in their development.
- Understand safeguarding responsibilities and develop skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults needing care and support.
- Ensure adults are safeguarded while recognising their choice and control.
- Adhere to safeguarding and whistle-blowing policies at all times.
- Provide evidence of any untaken training.
- Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation.
- Complete all training as determined by the home.
