As a Housekeeper we ask for you to treat our residents like they are your own family, ensuring respect and dignity at all times. You will work in a busy care home ensuring cleaning standards are kept to a high-quality standard. About You
Above all, we’re looking for kind and caring people who want a job where they can really make a difference to people’s lives. You’ll also need:
- Previous experience working in a Care Home environment is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of working in a busy housekeeping environment.
- A committed and organised approach.
- A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible to work shifts.
Other Duties
- To attend staff meetings.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home and participate in appropriate training.
- Encourage and support staff in their development and training.
- Ensure you fully understand your safeguarding responsibility and develop your understanding and skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults who need care and support.
- Ensure that adults are safeguarded in a way that recognises their choice and control.
- Ensure that the safeguarding and whistle-blowing policies are adhered to at all times.
- Provide evidence of any untaken training.
- Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
- Complete all training as determined by the home.
