The predicted salary is between 10 - 12 ÂŁ per hour.
As a Care Assistant, you will care for our residents like they are your own family, addressing their physical, psychological, and social needs. This includes assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and helping with meals.
We welcome applications from candidates who have previously worked as a Care Assistant, Care Giver, Homecare Worker, or Community Support Worker. We also encourage applications from those without previous experience but who have a passion for care.
About You
Above all, we’re looking for kind and caring people who want a job where they can really make a difference to people’s lives. You’ll also need:
- Level 2 in Health & Social Care, or care certificate (desirable but not essential as all training is provided).
- Previous experience working in a Care Home environment (desirable but not essential).
- Experience of leading a team.
- A committed and organised approach.
- A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts.
Other Duties
- Attend staff meetings.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home.
- Participate in appropriate training and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
- Ensure understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and develop skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect to adults who need care and support.
- Adhere to safeguarding and whistleblowing policies at all times.
- Provide evidence of any undertaken training.
- Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation.
- Complete all training as determined by the home.
