As a Care Assistant, you will care for our residents like they are your own family, attending to their physical, psychological, and social needs. You will assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and assisting with meals. We welcome candidates who have previously worked as a Care Assistant, Care Giver, Homecare Worker, or Community Support Worker, as well as those with no prior experience but a passion for care. Full training is provided.
About You
- Level 2 in Health & Social Care or a care certificate (desirable, not essential).
- Previous experience working in a Care Home environment (desirable).
- Experience of leading a team.
- A committed and organised approach.
- A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible to work shifts.
Other Duties
- Attend staff meetings.
- Maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing needs and demands of the home and participate in appropriate training; encourage and support staff in their development and training.
- Ensure staff fully understand their safeguarding responsibilities, develop skills to reduce the risk of abuse or neglect, recognise adult choice and control, and comply with safeguarding and whistle blowing policies at all times.
- Provide evidence of any untaken training.
- Comply with fire procedures and health and safety legislation and work in a safe environment.
- Complete all training as determined by the home.
