Field-Based Account Manager – Reading, Oxford & Guildford
Location: Field based (OX / RG / GU postcodes)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About Wonderful Life
We are a large independent distributor working exclusively with some of the most well-known and exciting brands in the industry. We partner with salons to help them grow, not just by supplying products, but by offering genuine support, best in class education, and smart commercial thinking. We continue to grow at a fast pace and are looking for a field-based Account Manager to look after and develop our salon partners across the Reading, Oxford and Guildford territory.
The Role
This is a hands-on, field-based role for someone who enjoys being out with customers, building real relationships, and making things happen. You’ll take ownership of your territory, looking after existing accounts, growing them over time, and bringing new salons on board. You’ll be trusted to manage your area like it’s your own business, with the backing of a supportive and ambitious team behind you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing a portfolio of salon accounts across your territory
- Building strong, long-term relationships with salon owners and staff
- Helping salons grow by introducing new products, promotions, and ideas
- Spotting opportunities within accounts and turning them into increased sales
- Proactively opening new accounts and growing the Wonderful Life presence locally
- Journey planning your weeks effectively to get the most from your time in the field
- Keeping CRM and admin up to date so everything runs smoothly behind the scenes
- Working closely with the wider team to deliver a great all-round customer experience
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to be corporate, but you do need to be target driven, professional, organised, and commercially switched on. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Experience in field sales, account management or education within the hair and beauty sector
- A natural ability to build rapport and trust with customers
- A proactive mindset and pride in hitting (and surpassing) targets
- Good organisation and time management skills
- A full UK driving licence
What You’ll Get
- Strong basic salary with uncapped commission OTE of £52,000+
- Phone, laptop, and everything you need to do the job properly
- Ongoing training and brand education
- Real opportunity to grow with a business that’s going places
- A supportive culture that values effort, accountability, and results
Why Wonderful Life?
We take what we do seriously, but not ourselves. We have a great reputation for what we do and this is down to the people in the business. You’ll have autonomy, responsibility, and the chance to make a real impact, without being micromanaged. If you’re competitive, enjoy building relationships, growing accounts, and being part of something on the up, you’ll fit in just fine.
