The Role
You’ll own end-to-end account management for a set of clients: creating an exceptional client experience, including delivery touch points, and helping clients maximise the value and impact from working with WB. You’ll facilitate learning interventions and coach across our portfolio, from accredited programmes to one-off client sessions. Our clients include challenger brands like Wild, Smol & DASH Water; larger orgs like The Design Museum and Aurora ER; and tech companies like Cambri — so you’ll work with a wide range of organisations, from global brands to growing start-ups. This role is perfect for someone who wants to have a big impact in a start-up role, whilst maintaining a work-life fit with generous flexibility and time off.
What You’ll Do:
- Account management a.k.a delighting our clients! Own the client relationship for named accounts: build trust, manage stakeholders, and maintain a proactive comms cadence. Handover from proposal/sales into delivery. Confirm logistics and expectations ahead of sessions. Send follow-ups and ensure clients receive what they need after sessions (resources, next steps, etc.). Delight at every opportunity: anticipate needs, notice the details, and “go beyond” in the moments that matter, while staying organised, efficient and calm. Encourage strong engagement with feedback (learner and/or manager where relevant). Capture outcomes and themes that support client storytelling and renewal conversations.
- Commercially driven: Help clients see what’s possible next and support team with account growth conversations where appropriate. Support business development through a range of activity such as posting on LinkedIn, being active in communities and representing WB at networking events/conferences.
- Feed into operational improvements: improve templates, ways of working, client comms, and internal systems as we scale.
- Facilitate Institute of Leadership (IoL) accredited THRIVE programmes (in person and virtually).
- Deliver bespoke learning experiences and interventions for our clients (workshops, team sessions, offsites, etc.).
- Provide 1:1 and group coaching (stand-alone or as part of programmes).
- Build and tailor resources to client needs (drawing on existing IP and creating new where needed).
About You — Skills & Experience
- Proven facilitation skills; confident in holding a room, being challenged, and synthesising information.
- Qualified coach, accreditation with ICF or EMCC desirable (or moving towards accreditation).
- Leadership/management experience (ideally Head of Dept or equivalent).
- Credible, confident and able to build strong relationships.
- Evidence in partnering with key stakeholders across all levels of a business to support organisational and individual needs.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail (able to own the end-to-end client journey).
- Tech-comfortable (Google Suite, Zoom, Miro, Menti, MailerLite — training provided).
- Learning design skills with a deep understanding of adult learning principles (desirable but we can teach you these!).
- Comfortable with the pace and ambiguity of start-up life.
- Ideally: experience in People Ops / HR / L&D.
Desired Attributes
- Self-starter with initiative and independence.
- Collaborative; we co-create as a team.
- Positive, energetic and excited by our mission.
- Values-aligned; brave enough to challenge and improve; obsessive about delighting our clients.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and creative problem-solving.
- A psychometric accreditation (INSIGHTS, Strengths, DISC).
What You’ll Get
- Salary: £48,000 pro rata (£60,000 FTE), depending on experience, for 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE).
- Development: Free place on our THRIVE programme in Year 1 (including Insights, Coaching & IoL accreditation). From Year 2: £1,000 annual personal development budget.
