The Wonderfield Group has recently been purchased by Zensho Holdings, the leading food service company in Japan with a market cap of $5.5b and whose aim is to become the world's largest food company, a position from which we can eradicate hunger and poverty from around the globe. We operate restaurants, factories, and thousands of sushi kiosks and have recently built a successful cut fruit business, Snowfruit. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all restaurant teams consistently deliver high-quality guest experiences that align with brand standards and exceed expectations across every touchpoint.
- Conduct regular service reviews and guest journey observations, using insights to drive targeted coaching and continuous improvement.
- Lead structured in-person coaching visits based on operational needs, offering hands-on support and development for restaurant teams.
- Foster a culture of ownership and empowerment, encouraging team members to take initiative in enhancing the guest experience.
- Collaborate with Operations Teams to run high-performing Training Centres, supporting both internal talent development and external candidate training.
- Design and deliver impactful onboarding and training programmes, including the Manager in Training journey, embedding brand values, service behaviours, and tracking development through structured reviews.
- New restaurant opening support from pre-opening training, onboarding, and ensuring operational readiness.
- Create and maintain tailored development plans, providing clear growth pathways across all levels.
- Track and report on training effectiveness, including learning completion rates, follow-ups, and participation in external programmes.
- Attend regular cross-functional meetings to identify training needs, align on business goals, and build actionable support plans.
- Attend annual reviews of Learning Pathways and provide strategic input on content gaps, improvements, and future training priorities.
- Facilitate interactive workshops, covering areas of the guest journey such as surprise and delight moments, personalisation and service recovery.
- Continuously challenge current practices and contribute ideas that support YO! Restaurants and the wider Wonderfield Group as an employer of choice.
- Act as a brand role model — inspiring, motivating, and upholding values and behaviours in all interactions.
