Can be relied upon to work proactively - we require a candidate who doesn't need to be told what to do and takes responsibility for ensuring they are busy and productive. Candidates who would prefer to be less busy need not apply. Takes ownership - Data Engineering is often about fixing processes that are broken before anyone else notices; the successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to identify and fix problems without input from other people. Strong attention to detail - details matter in Data Engineering and we want a candidate who will go above and beyond to ensure that their development is consistent and well organised. Pride in work undertaken is important. Flexibility and humility - essential for good team working. Can demonstrate a detail-oriented mindset and a genuine interest in computer-related problem solving (development, scripting, PC-building and performance tuning, electronics etc).
