About Wonderbly

At Wonderbly, we create personalised books designed to spark emotion, connection and lasting memories for families around the world. As we evolve our brand and marketing approach, we’re looking for someone to help strengthen the bridge between customer insight, product marketing, creative strategy and campaign execution.

Why This Role Is Interesting

  • You’ll help shape how brand, product marketing and creative strategy work together at a moment of significant evolution for the business:
    • clearer brand focus within a multi-brand publishing group
    • more sophisticated creative strategy
    • stronger investment in customer insight and product marketing
    • increasing integration between brand and growth marketing

We’re also at the beginning of building a more mature brand and insight function - including customer research and more structured brand management. You’ll have the opportunity to influence both strategy and execution, while helping build systems and capability that will outlast the contract itself.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced brand and product marketer to join Wonderbly on a 6-month FTC maternity cover. This is a hands‑on, cross‑functional role sitting at the intersection of brand, product marketing, customer insight, campaigns and creative strategy. You’ll play a key role in helping us build a more joined‑up marketing system across brand, publishing, growth and creative — strengthening how products are positioned, launched and brought to market.

You’ll help continue and operationalise work already underway to improve how we:

  • position products
  • launch books
  • integrate customer & market insights into marketing
  • support creative and growth teams with stronger strategic inputs

It’s a role for someone who enjoys connecting customer insight, product storytelling, creative strategy and commercial thinking - and turning that into stronger launches, campaigns and ways of working across teams. The role will work closely with Growth, Publishing and Creative teams, with a particular focus on strengthening the strategic and customer insight inputs that inform creative and campaign development.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Product Marketing & GTM
    • Lead product marketing strategy across key titles and categories
    • Develop clearer product positioning and messaging
    • Improve launch planning and GTM processes for new books
    • Partner closely with Publishing and Growth teams to shape launch strategies
  • Customer Insight & Research
    • Continue developing Wonderbly’s customer insight function, building a more insight‑led marketing culture
    • Support the development of Wonderbly’s broader brand and customer insight approach
    • Run and evolve customer interview and research processes
    • Help shape qualitative & quantitative research initiatives focused on brand positioning, customer motivations and category understanding
    • Contribute to the development of longer‑term brand measurement and tracking
  • Campaigns & Brand Marketing
    • Lead the development of integrated marketing campaigns across paid, owned and earned channels, working closely with our Head of Content & Creative Strategy
    • Help shape Wonderbly’s organic and community strategy across social, partnerships and customer touchpoints
    • Work closely with Growth and Creative teams to ensure stronger alignment between brand and performance marketing
    • Support PR and partnerships activity alongside our PR lead
    • Support broader brand‑building initiatives and media channels beyond performance marketing (including ATL exploration/testing)
    • Partner closely with our Head of Content & Creative Strategy, bringing customer insight, product marketing and brand strategy inputs into the campaign & creative development process
  • Team & Cross‑Functional Leadership
    • Line manage and develop a Brand Executive, helping broaden capability across product marketing, campaign planning and customer insight
    • Mentor and develop junior team members, helping build stronger product marketing and customer insight capability internally
    • Help improve marketing processes and ways of working
    • Bring structure and clarity across multiple concurrent projects
    • Act as a senior strategic partner across brand/product/growth conversations

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with strong execution and operational ability. Ideal experience includes:

  • Brand and/or product marketing experience in a DTC or consumer business
  • Experience launching and positioning products or campaigns
  • Strong customer insight and qualitative research instincts
  • Ability to connect brand thinking with commercial/growth outcomes
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with creative, product and performance teams
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and helping shape evolving processes
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior team members

Bonus points for

  • Experience in gifting, publishing, family/kids brands or emotionally‑led consumer products
  • Experience with brand tracking, research programmes and brand‑building channels

What we offer

  • £60,000 – £70,000
  • Private healthcare
  • £500 to spend on learning — books, courses, whatever feeds your curiosity (via Learnably)
  • Real mental health support with Spill
  • Subsidised gym membership with Nuffield Health
  • Free breakfast every day, plus a fridge so well‑stocked it's basically a love language
  • Monthly Lunch & Learns with speakers who'll actually make you think differently
  • Socials that people genuinely look forward to
  • Quarterly all‑hands with great food, great drinks and a chance to zoom out together
