Financial Analyst in Glasgow

Wonderworld Group is a Scotland-based family entertainment company operating under 3 brands. Wonder World, Air Thrill, and Electric Thrill. Founded in 2013, Wonder World Group operates 13 sites across Scotland and England, with plans for further expansion. We are looking for an experienced, Finance Analyst to join our finance team, based in our Head Office in Glasgow. Reporting into the Finance Director, key duties of the Finance Analyst will include:

· Assisting with the production of Monthly Management Accounts

· Processing Accruals, Prepayments and Journals

· Assisting in preparation of VAT returns

· Preparation of financial reports for senior management and the wider business

· Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, investigate and escalate variances as required

· Prepare variance analysis and commentary as required

· Maintaining supplier\’s accounts and ensuring the accuracy of invoices & payments

· Reviewing and processing company expenses ensuring adherence with company policies

· Reviewing P&L and Balance Sheet for accuracy, and posting journals as necessary

· Cashbook postings

· Reconciliation and review of site daily takings

· Reconciliation and review of company credit card spend

· Assist in administration of the back end booking system

· Ad-hoc finance analysis where required

To be considered for this role we are looking for candidates with the following:

· Previous experience of working within a finance function

· Strong excel skills

· Confident communicator

· Career orientated
