Location: New York / London

Wonder Studios is an AI-native film and creative studio redefining how stories are told. We partner with global brands, artists, and studios to create award-winning campaigns, films, and experiences that merge cinematic craft with cutting-edge AI technology.

We’ve raised more than $15 million from some of the world’s best investors including LocalGlobe, Atomico and Adobe as well as angels from the leading AI companies including OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Google DeepMind. We’re now a team of 35+ based around the world with offices in London, LA, NYC and SF.

As a global entertainment company built for the AI era, Wonder has a story worth telling at scale. This role exists to make sure the world hears it and hears it right. We're looking for a marketing and communications leader who has built brands that matter. You will own Wonder's storytelling: brand, marketing, communications and social strategy end-to-end. You will be someone who balances taste and design with the execution pace of a high-growth startup.

The ideal background is someone who has come out of a world-class entertainment marketing environment or has already built from the ground up at a tier 1 startup or scale-up. You will own the marketing function end-to-end at a company at a genuine inflection point, lead and build the team, and work directly with the founders to set the strategic direction on how Wonder shows up publicly. You will be the person who ensures everything that goes out the door is aligned with Wonder’s mission and vision.

What You’ll Own

  • Wonder's narrative and identity, visual language, tone of voice, and how Wonder shows up across every touchpoint globally
  • Marketing strategy across all channels, owned, earned and paid, from campaign planning through to execution
  • Wonder's external narrative and positioning, including press and media relations, and management of any PR agency or in-house comms hires
  • Executive and founder communications, including thought leadership, speaking opportunities and spokesperson strategy
  • Leading marketing and comms for major activations, premieres, partnerships and product launches
  • Identifying and owning high-leverage distribution and brand-building opportunities
  • Driving the success and scale of Wonder's owned channels: community, email, social and direct audience

What You’ll Bring

  • 7-10+ years in marketing and communications, with a clear track record in a tier 1 startup, scale-up or entertainment environment
  • An interest in entertainment, film or media marketing; you understand the culture, the craft and what it takes to build an audience
  • Experience building brands from a strong foundation to genuine cultural relevance
  • Deep expertise across growth, brand, comms, social strategy and campaign execution
  • A demonstrable point of view on what great marketing and communications looks like, you can articulate it, defend it, and use it to direct a team and hold external partners to a standard
  • Strong people leadership experience: you've built and managed marketing and comms teams and know how to get the best out of people with different skills and seniority levels
  • Experience managing press relationships, PR agencies or in-house comms functions, and navigating sensitive or high-stakes moments
  • Fluency with AI tools as a genuine force multiplier in your workflow
  • Startup DNA: you've operated in resource-constrained environments, made fast decisions and built things that lasted
  • A network in entertainment and media you can activate, press, platforms, partners and collaborators (nice to have)

Why Wonder

  • Own the marketing and communications function end-to-end at a company at a genuine inflection point, with real accountability and direct exposure to the CEO and leadership team
  • Work with a deeply engaged community and audience from Day One
  • Work at the forefront of AI-native filmmaking, marketing award-winning content that is genuinely changing how stories get made and who gets to make them
  • Work across the worlds of film, technology and AI, working alongside partners including Google DeepMind, Universal Music Group and Adobe
  • Join at the moment it matters: $15M raised, $1M+ revenue in year one, on target to hit $10M this year, and the most exciting part of building still ahead
