Your responsibilities
As a Senior Manager, you will be expected to deliver against the following responsibilities both internally and externally.
Client‑facing
- End‑to‑end responsibility for mobilisation, delivery, and benefits of large‑scale complex strategic and/or transformative programmes in accordance with selected project management methodologies.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate activities to manage and implement a change programme roadmap from mobilisation through to implementation, leading, directing, and overseeing a large team of programme resources working across multiple workstreams and projects.
- Influence and negotiate programme outcomes across multiple functions; prepare and present analysis, insights, and recommendations to assist governance forums and senior client stakeholders with decision‑making.
- Maintain focus so that programmes deliver on key priorities and dependencies and are managed to realise business benefits within agreed timelines.
- Identify and advise on programme‑level decisions that influence significant direction, and escalates decisions that cannot be resolved to the agreed governance forums.
Internal responsibilities
- Understand our consulting service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients, building meaningful external relationships and internal relationships across service lines.
- Develop innovative insights for clients looking to leverage vendor frameworks, improve IT offerings, execute programme commitments, and adapt methods to fit operational teams and cultural needs, contributing to thought leadership.
- Lead Technology Consulting engagements, managing team performance and commercials, conducting performance reviews, and contributing to feedback for all staff levels while managing engagement billings and estimates.
- Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff at all levels.
- Understand, follow, and lead staff in workplace policies and procedures.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role
- Strong academic record including a third‑level degree in a business or IT‑related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Additional professional qualifications such as PRINCE2®, PMP, PMBOK, SAFe, or a Diploma‑level project management qualification from a recognized body.
- At least 8 years’ experience in a client‑facing role for a leading consulting or professional services company delivering large‑scale complex change/transformation programmes, or at least 10 years’ experience delivering such programmes for a leading company.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience onsite within the UK&I region across industries such as Power & Utilities, Government & Public Sector, Technology, Media & Telecoms, Advanced Manufacturing, Consumer Products & Retail, Financial Services, or Life Sciences.
- Experience in technology areas including ERP, CRM, AI, Digital Workplace, CX, Cloud Migration and integrations, Data & Analytics, RPA, Emerging Tech, IoT.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, tailoring communications to diverse audiences and translating strategy into measurable business benefits; experience presenting to teams, finance, and other stakeholders.
- Experience working in a matrix‑managed organisation.
- Experience establishing, training, and managing teams of clients, contractors, and strategic partners.
- Track record of delivery within large‑scale IT transformation programmes.
- Ability to align business and IT across organisational and technology silos, delivering sustainable, agile, reusable solutions.
- Proven capacity to take a big‑picture view while working at a detailed level across contract types and engagement approaches.

- Experience tracking, monitoring, advising, and maintaining status and actions across project budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits.
- Stakeholder‑management experience working collaboratively across IT, finance, and business units to deliver project governance meeting client needs.
- Continued ambition to further develop and learn, fostering an interest in innovative technologies.
- Desire to identify new opportunities and help create proposals to solve clients’ most complex problems.
