We’re looking for a Senior Risk Consultant who’s passionate about helping a global organisation make smarter, safer decisions. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of how Sage navigates uncertainty and drives performance. You’ll work closely with both front- and back-office teams, supporting them with expert risk insights, constructive challenge, and practical guidance. You’ll also play a key role in developing and coaching members of our Risk team, helping us grow our capability for the future. This is a hybrid role, base 3 days in our Newcastle office.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- You’ll spend your time making risk management meaningful, practical, and effective across the business. That means spotting opportunities to improve the way we work, streamlining processes, and embedding best practice wherever possible.
- As the go-to partner for your region or function, you’ll lead risk identification sessions, support stakeholders in documenting and managing their risks, and ensure controls and mitigations are not only understood but followed through.
- You’ll build strong relationships with colleagues across the organisation, collaborating with regional and functional teams to bring clear, actionable insights to Managing Directors and the Global Risk Committee.
- You’ll help produce timely and accurate risk reports, contribute to the ongoing management of Sage’s Principal Risks, and work directly with Executive Risk Owners when needed.
- You’ll also have an eye on the horizon—keeping track of external events, spotting emerging risks, and helping us understand how global trends could influence our business.
Where You Fit:
You’ll join our Risk, Internal Controls and Insurance Team - a group of people who care deeply about building trust, supporting sound decision-making, and enabling Sage to achieve its strategic goals. If you enjoy combining analytical thinking with collaboration and coaching, this is a role where you can truly make an impact.
What’s in it for you:
- Generous bonuses and pension scheme: Up to 8% matched pension contribution plus 2% top-up by Sage.
- 25 days of paid annual leave with the option to buy up to another 5 days.
- 8 bank holiday days.
- Paid 5 days yearly to volunteer through our Sage Foundation.
- 50% income protection.
- Holiday buy + sell.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage.
- Work away scheme for up to 10 weeks a year.
- Ongoing training and professional development.
- Hybrid working.
- Healthy Mind app membership.
- Access to various helpful memberships for finances, health and wellbeing.
